JaVale McGee Dunk: Wizards Center Throws Down Monster Jam Against Bucks (VIDEO)

Wiz Center Literally Throws It Down Against Bucks

For the most part, Washington Wizards center JaVale McGee has generated headlines this season for his in-game blunders. But against the Bucks on Tuesday night, the Wiz pivot got himself in the highlight reels for something positive.

After scooping up a loose ball along the baseline during the final minute of the second quarter, the lanky center made a quick move into the paint. Dribbling once, McGee lifted the ball in his right hand as if to attempt a hook shot as his momentum carried him across the lane. Instead of shooting, however, McGee rose and managed to throw down a monster dunk over Milwaukee's Tobias Harris.

With a long-range flush reminiscent of a few of Blake Griffin's memorable dunks, it's possible that the 7-foot-tall McGee got so high off the floor and began his dunk attempt so far from the basket that he literally threw the ball the hoop without touching the rim, which may cause some to call it a non-dunk. On the other hand, if that's the case, it can at least be compared to Michael Jordan's game-winner in the movie "Space Jam."
