Lindsay Lohan 'Today' Show Appearance Highlights New Look (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

Look out, media: Lindsay Lohan is coming for you.

The blonde, beleaguered star has launched a campaign to rehab her image, beginning this week by hosting "Saturday Night Live" and speaking exclusively with the "Today" show about how she's over partying and prefers being a "homebody."

She's also coming along nicely with her probation duties.

Along with her new attitude, LiLo's trying on a new beauty routine. Since early February she's been showing off some new bangs, which she's styled to the hilt during her media rounds this week.

In a "Today" show clip Wednesday morning (showing segments of the full interview which will air on Thursday), Lindz's hair looked a bit.... off. Are we the only ones who thought the whole thing looked like a wig?

The uber coifed hair and bangs distracts slightly from Lindsay's face, which is looking fuller just this week. We can't wait to see what LiLo's going to do on "SNL" -- and how her new hair and style play out on national television.

Regarding her puffy face: It looks like she may have Hashimoto's disease (autoimmune thyroid disease). It may not be drugs or plastic surgery at all.

I believe she can recover and I think the style will need to evolve. She is a beautiful woman but with a lot of hard living to make up for. If she can get a good trainer with a regimen of diet and exercise (and stop smoking) her complexion will recover and the alcohol bloat should start to diminish as she is very young. I hope she has the patience to pull it off and that will need a different kind of trainer. Better odds if you lose the posse.

Poor Lindsay Lohan. She sounds like she smokes four packs of cigarettes a day. She went overboard on the fillers, so now she looks like she's suffering from chemo treatments...although...hey...maybe she is on some kind of medication that affects her face in that way. She just looks hard as nails. Like a two-fisted drinker...she looks like a prost i tu te. Why can't they give that girl her red hair back, and put her in some normal, respectable clothes? Put some clothes on. Seriously. Go buy a nice, demure Lanvin dress and some tasteful footwear. Jesus. Please, someone help Lindsay Lohan.

The blonde hair was a major mistake. It's clearly artificial, too severe, and conflicts with the message that she has come back down to earth and is ready to get back to work. She should have gone with something softer and more natural looking. The message she needs to send is "I'm healthy and grounded", not "check out my Playboy spread." You only get one serious shot at a comeback media tour. This is not the way to do it.

Unfortunately, she still looks ready for a party so I'm not buying the "homebody" routine and I doubt the power brokers in Hollywood are either.

Ain't gonna work.
