HUFFPOST FUNDRACE -- Super Tuesday Super PAC

HUFFPOST FUNDRACE -- Super Tuesday Super PAC

Massive late buys reported by the Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich super PACs before Super Tuesday. The Romney super PAC is blasting Rick Santorum with another $2-plus million across the Super Tuesday states. That's the second day in a row that the super PAC has reported more than $2 million in spending targeting Santorum. Most of this spending is going to the battleground state of Ohio. The Gingrich super PAC, meanwhile, made a large national radio ad buy topping $280,000 and other purchases across Super Tuesday states. The Santorum super PAC dropped $250,000 to support their candidate in Ohio.

The New York Times public editor weighs in on the debate over whether Citizens United lead to the creation of super PACs or not.

Super PACs push the pet issues of mega-donors.
