Rathbun, certified nutritional therapy practitioner and creator of nutrition website Authentic Self Wellness, points out the obvious sources of stress: deadlines at work, relationships, financial issues, etc.

"Some people handle stress well, but for others it can be devastating. Stress can cause fatigue, chronic headaches, irritability, changes in appetite, memory loss, low self-esteem, withdrawal, teeth grinding, even cold hands," she says. "All of these symptoms can have an extremely negative effect on our quality of life, our health, and can ultimately lead to a shorter life span."

"Chamomile tea is a gentle relaxant that acts as a nerve tonic and a sleeping aid," Rathbun says. "If you experience a long day and can't seem to calm down, brew yourself a nice cup of chamomile tea with some added honey for a boost of nutrients."

These are great measures. They help very much. But its very common too that ongoing emotional baggage can bring on the same things on top of over stimulation . Its surprising ( then not!) how many people hang on to the toxicity in their lives.

A fundamental way in which to reduce stress and anxiety is to "Let Go of Control!" When we do, we free (meaning, not restrict) life's natural currents and that provides us with the opportunity to engage these currents intuitively and expansively. We no longer have to dwell on all the anxiety creating "what ifs" and "what might happens" because we are accepting life "as it is."
