Steve Bridges Dead: George W. Bush Impersonator Dies At Age 48

The Huffington Post  |  By Posted: 03/05/12 11:38 AM ET  |  Updated: 03/05/12 11:45 AM ET

Steve Bridges, the actor who impersonated President George W. Bush at the 2006 White House Correspondents' Association dinner, has died at age 48, his manager said.

Bridges gained international attention after the 2006 event in which he impersonated Bush while the president himself shared the stage beside the actor. Bridges was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment on Saturday the Los Angeles Times reports. Although the exact cause of death is unknown at this time, an autopsy has been scheduled, and so far it appears that he died of natural causes, his brother Phillip told the paper.

According to Bridges' website, the actor also impersonated other public figures including former President Bill Clinton, former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, and President Barack Obama.

I just read that he started impersonating Obama. Uh oh, that was his last mistake. Look what happened when Breitbart tried to drag the president through the mud....Crap, now they know I know. Better get that will filled out.....

Since the ex President is alive, it could be interpreted as an omen.

I notice that HP allows comments here that wish for the death of a former president, yet censors even the slightest pointed comment from a conservative.

another repeated article by aol and HuffPo, these guys must not get very much new material to write on as they are constantly re-running old articles, sometimes several times over and over weeks and months after the story if old?

Never saw him do a mean thing on stage when he played other famous people. he was always funny and taught us to laugh and see the lighter side of of life. he died doing what he loved to do and apparently enjoying it to the end. rest in peace and make tehm laugh wherever you go.

"He died doing what he loved to do"? The article said he was found dead in his apartment. How would you know what he was doing when he died?
