A northwest Indiana convenience store clerk was fatally shot Sunday during an armed robbery.

Judi Simpson-Beaver, 48, was killed while working at the Lucky Mart Foods in Merrillville, Ind., about 1 p.m. Sunday. NBC Chicago reports that surveillance video taken from the incident shows a man wearing a dark hoodie, black pants and a "Jason" hockey-style mask entering the store with a gun. Though Simpson-Beaver handed over money to him, the gunman proceeded to shoot her multiple times -- in the chest and head.

Jeremy Kale Blue, of the 5600 block of Johnson Street in Merrillville, was charged Wednesday in connection with Simpson-Beaver's shooting death, NBC Chicago reports.

An additional video shot minutes before the shooting (embedded below) shows two other men entering the store, walking around it and then leaving without making a purchase, according to CBS Chicago. Police are hoping to identify and speak with those men, who police are still working to track down.

Simpson-Beaver had just moved back to Merrillville, where she had raised her two sons, from Texas. Both of her sons served in the military -- one in Iraq and the other in Afghanistan, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Anyone with additional information pertaining to the crime is urged to contact the Merrillville Police Department at (219) 769-3531.
