Sherri Shepherd Tries Karina Smirnoff's Dance Workout On 'The View' (VIDEO)

Sherri Tries Karina's 'Dancing' Workout

Sherri Shepherd is gearing up for her run on Season 14 of "Dancing With the Stars," and she brought Karina Smirnoff onto "The View" (weekdays on ABC) to whip her into shape. Smirnoff, a "DWTS" pro who's paired with singer Gavin DeGraw this season, has a dance-inspired workout DVD called "Shape Up With Karina," and she used it to put Shepherd through the paces.

The segment quickly devolved into hilarity, which tends to happen any time Shepherd demonstrates exercise equipment on the air. When Smirnoff told Shepherd that a hip-twist move from the cha-cha would help her core, Shepherd quipped, "I don't have a core, I got a belly." When they were doing a running-in-place move, Shepherd covered her chest with her hands to prevent excess shaking.

The workout session was interrupted by a surprise appearance from Smirnoff's partner, Gavin DeGraw, who was sitting behind a piano backstage. When the set walls parted, he belted out a performance of his hit "Not Over You."
