'The Biggest Loser': Trainer Switch Leads To Dolvett In Ballet Tights (VIDEO)

The theme for this week on "The Biggest Loser" was all about stepping out of one's comfort zone. So in order to help the contestants do just that, Alison Sweeney announced that they would be switching trainers for the entire week. This after just coming off an 18-day stay at home with no trainers at all. It's as if the show is trying to make weight loss difficult for the contestants.

Bob had a blast digging into the Red Team, laughing with every groan of pain. But for Dolvett, he found a lot more resistance from the all-women Black Team. So to try and break the ice a bit, he took them to a ballet studio for a workout. There they all got to dress up like ballerinas, while he even donned gray tights. It seemed to work, as they certainly appreciated his physique in the tights, and trusted him a bit more.

To make things even more interesting, this week it was the team that won the weigh-in who would decide who from the losing team would go home. This created an interesting situation for the trainers, if they feel any sense of loyalty to their own teams. Would they under-train the opposing team on purpose to try and give their own team a better chance of winning the weigh-in?

To hear the trainers talk, this wasn't even a consideration. But after looking at the numbers on the scale, there was something going on. The teams had more incentive than ever to win the weigh-in, but their performances across the board were abysmal at best. Was it the 18 days at home that threw them? Losing 5% of their total body weight in that span looked good on the scale, but that was in almost two-and-a-half weeks. Thus their weekly weight losses were likely much more on par with what we saw this week.

Or maybe it was the adjustments of being back on the ranch after so long away, and being with different trainers. It should be interesting to see what happens next week when they go to the "Singles" stage of the competition. Unfortunately for Cassandra, she missed out on the chance to get there by playing her strategic hand a little too early, and to the wrong person.

No one understood why she and Emily would propose their all-girl Finals to Conda, of all people. Conda's brother Jeremy is still in the competition. Did they think she would support a plan that would see him booted before the Finals? And as Emily won "Biggest Loser" for the Black Team (which lost the weigh-in despite the Red Team losing only 20 pounds among five people) Cassandra became the likeliest target from a strategic point.

Chris got a few votes because she hasn't really been pulling her weight, and because Kim advocates having strong players at the end so its a real competition. But most of the rest of her team went the route of preferring to keep the weaker players to increase their own chances of walking away with the top prize.

See how it plays out as "The Biggest Loser" continues Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
