The New York Times  |  By KIM SEVERSON  |  Posted: 03/ 8/2012 1:25 am Updated: 03/ 8/2012 1:54 am

Fed by antagonism toward President Obama, resentment toward changing racial demographics and the economic rift between rich and poor, the number of so-called hate groups and antigovernment organizations in the nation has continued to grow, according to a report released Wednesday by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The internet has broken the barriers that once isolated individuals from intercommunicating their ideologies with each others.a lot of groups are fly by night, others groups are out to express their discontent,And a selective few are just out to establish their way or no way by which ever means necesary.

Interesting that once you have a population that is hating on its own government how much easier to use them to overthrow the one thing they can control. Making it possible to overthrow the people, their choice, their prosperity thinking its the enemy. And then replace it with their own controls.

Alot like an antigen does when it triggers something it doesn't like. Cause an alergic reaction and confuse the body just enough so that it attacks itself rather then the anitgen. The body will never know who the real enemy is because it was to busy fighting its own defenses.

The more traveled and educated a person is the more diverse their thinking becomes. Majority of the repubs and members of these groups don't travel outside of their own town, they don't come into contact with people unlike themselves and they certainly are not PhDs. This is the reason they hold on to their guns and hate those they don't understand. Especially in the south, most have not traveled outside of the red states.

How Roger Ailes Built the Fox News Fear Factory | Rolling Stone Politics

To understand what drives Fox News, and what its true purpose is, you must first understand Chairman Ailes. “He is Fox News,” says Jane Hall, a decade-long Fox commentator who defected over Ailes’ embrace of the fear-mongering Glenn Beck. “It’s his vision. It’s a reflection of him.”

“You’re blowing it with Fox News,” Jobs said. “The axis today is not liberal and conservative, the axis is constructive-destructive, and you’ve cast your lot with the destructive people. Fox has become an incredibly destructive force in our society. You can be better, and this is going to be your legacy if you’re not careful.”

I looked at the article and at the website for the organization. I can see where it would doubtlessly appeal to you, given your micro-bio, avatar and screen name. Extremists do so enjoy keeping each others' company. Some things don't change in America.

I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue. - - - Senator Barry Goldwater

Sounds like the republican party they are describing here. The real question they are asking "is the republican party a hate group"? I would say yes.

More smoke and mirrors. Is the right the enemy or is the left the enemy? Or could both the right and the left both be the enemy? Step back from the tree and look at the forest as a whole.. See the sum of all of its parts as a tapestry rather then as individual parties.

It is a good game. Now lets fly overhead and stop being overly focused on the battle and see who is playing the pawns?

Yes, thanks for posting this. I've been to the Museum of Tolerance here in L.A. on a few occasions. One of their many features are computers that document literally thousands of hate groups that are currently in existence - something we all need to be aware of.
