Although the Miami International Film Festival is over, the line up for this week's movie houses are just as eclectic. Also, some special events are planned for some of the films: Help benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation when you watch "Forks Over Knives" or schedule a night out on the town Havana style with the South Florida premiere of "Chico and Rita."
Whether you're into documentaries, rom coms, murder mysteries or foreign language films (or a mix of any of the above), and you'll find exactly what you're itching for this week.

When the courts fail to help him, he hijacks a plane to talk to the president about it. This illustration film tells the story of jazz pianist Chico and the beautiful singer Rita. When they come together in 1940s Havana, their love takes them to the United States and back to Cuba in time for the revolution. During the film debut on March 16, guests will be treated to a Q&A with director Fernando Trueba, as well as a movie premiere experience with music by Grammy Award-winning Latin jazz musician Federico Britos and a reception from 9 to 10 p.m. with food from Havana Harry's, Cibo Wine Bar, Seasons 52, Bacardi open bar and hand-rolled cigars from Sabor Havana. An extended Q&A with the director will be on March 17 at 5 p.m.

Based on the book by the same name, every mother’s worst nightmare comes true in this creepy film. Tilda Swinton plays Eva, mother to Kevin (Ezra Miler), who fights for years to shake the feeling that her son is the manifestation of evil. Everyone else thinks she’s just seeing things, and her husband, played by John C. Reilly, comforts her with “He’s just a sweet little boy.”

A murder mystery appears to be on the brink of being solved, only to become even more complicated. In the Turkish countryside, a man comes forward and confesses to a murder. However, he struggles to lead them to the body and their conversations as they search for it makes it clear this is no ordinary murder. This Turkish film debuted at last year's Cannes Film Festival and was the co-winner of the Grand Prix.
