The most competitive city in the world? Yes. You guessed it right. No city in the world is better able to attract investors, capital, talent or tourists than New York. That is the conclusion of a new study by the Economist Intelligence Unit on the competitiveness of cities across the globe.
Cities compete with each other in a material sense. "They have an active role in competing nationally and globally for investment flow. They also compete with other cities for skills and talents that are globally mobile," explains urban economist Sanchez-Reaza in the report.
