'The Bachelor' Winner Revealed: Courtney Robertson And Ben Flajnik Get Engaged In Season 16 Finale

And 'The Bachelor' Winner Is ...

Considering Courtney Robertson has been the only person making "The Bachelor" worth watching in Season 16, it's only fitting that she took home the title of winner of this season after Ben Flajnik proposed, and she accepted.

And after weeks of boring dates and Ben's hair flipping, the 29-year-old California winemaker chose Courtney over Lindzi Cox, the southern belle who was the other contestant in "The Bachelor's" final two.

In the two-hour finale (which aired Mon., March 12 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC), Ben took Courtney on a helicopter ride above The Matterhorn in Switzerland, which he called one of the "top 10 coolest things I've ever done in my life." In a picturesque wintry scene, they made snow angels and went tobogganing before Ben confessed: "With Courtney, I'm completely and utterly myself. I'm so happy to be around her. She makes me feel like a kid ... I've always wanted to feel this comfortable around a woman."

In the climactic final minutes, it appeared Ben might not propose when he hinted he didn't want to have his heart broken again. "But I promised myself that I wouldn't get down on one knee again unless I was certain it was forever,' he said. "And I want to tell you that you are my forever. You're my forever, and I have waited a really, really long time to tell you that I am in love with you, more than you'll ever know. And that this experience and journey has been worth it every step of the way."

When he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, she said, "Yes, of course I will. I love you so much ... I will love you forever."

Courtney, a model who shocked audiences and her fellow contestants alike with her penchant for nudity and incredibly high-pitched voice, won over Ben in the end, even though the other ladies of "The Bachelor" weren't fans of her inability to keep her clothes on or follow the rules.

But in December 2011, rumors started popping up that Courtney was the winner, with Ben proposing to her in the end.

And the two have already walked down the aisle ... kind of. On the Feb. 20 episode, Courtney and Ben had a mock wedding ceremony in her hometown of Scottsdale, Arizona. "This is the best way I can think of to show Ben how I feel about him," she said. "We're at this place where I've always wanted to get married and I've got a little wedding planned."

In his vows, Ben told Courtney: "From the moment I saw you, you took my breath away. What I asked myself after our first date was, 'Was this too good to be true?' The answer to that I found in Belize is 'No' -- you're incredible."

Later, despite the awkward date-turned-faux wedding, Ben said standing at the altar with Courtney "felt pretty natural."

She added: "We are not Mr. and Mrs. Flajnik yet, but it feels pretty good to try it on for size."
