The Hunger Games World Premiere: 400 Lucky Campers To Get A Ticket (VIDEO)

The Lucky 400 Campers Outside The Hunger Games World Premiere

First there was "Star Wars" and "The Matrix," then "Harry Potter" and "Twilight." Now, we have something that seems to encompass them all: "The Hunger Games" -- and trust us, the fans already know it.

Starting Sunday morning, hundreds of hopefuls lined up to enter the make-shift campgrounds set up outside the Nokia Theater in anticipation for the film's Monday night world premiere. The first four hundred fans were given entrance to the grounds, where they will stay over night, along with a wristband granting them access to the premiere.

But that wasn't even the best part for those lucky four hundred. The film's stars, Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson came by to surprise the patiently waiting crowds. "I knew people were camping out, and I couldn't not come," said Lawrence to the Los Angeles Times.

The film will be in theaters and IMAX on March 23rd. Until then, check out tweets from the scene below:
