Zahara Jolie-Pitt Gets Blue Hair Extensions (PHOTO)

Zahara Jolie-Pitt is showing off her colorful side with a brand new 'do.

Brad and Angelina's 7-year-old little girl was spotted with bright blue hair extensions this weekend while taking a stroll with her family in New Orleans.

Zahara first debuted her low maintenance hairstyle back in December while hanging with her famous family in Las Vegas. But her full head of dark braids just got a head-turning upgrade for the spring.

And no reason for alarm--unlike Willow Smith's recently dyed green coif, Zahara's hair streaks are not her real hair. Again, they are only extensions, so it's a fun and harmless way for her to express herself. Plus, when you have two free-spirited parents like Brad and Angelina these things are to be expected.

We love that she's having some fun with her hair. Let's just hope she doesn't get too out of hand--we don't need any mini Nicki Minajs running around.

Check out Zahara's new statement-making 'do below and a look back at her past hairstyles.

So cute to see Zahara with blue hair. She such a girly girl and Shiloh is a tomboy. Whatever else you say about Brad and Angie their kids look like kids and act like kids, not like that obnoxious Suri Cruise.

A concern might be for tension on the hair folicles, and potential damage to her hairline. We do not need this little girl to wake up one day and have a hairline resembling the wonderful and gifted Stevie Wonder or Susan L. Taylor (former Essence Editor). Anyone raising children of a different ethnicity should make sure they understand the dynamics of skin and hair health; it is very simple, just make sure you have a diversity of friends who will help you get it right.

Like their movies, but I really can't see Brad and Angelina raising a young Black woman in America.

No, they're raised a Black woman as a white girl.

Is this news worthy? one day untalented kardashians has blond hair, the other person has blue hair.. come on, become smart

Oh my, I cannot believe how Zahara has grown. All children are beautiful. The Jolie-Pitt's have done a wonderful job raising them. Spot on about Zahara being a girly girl....like Shiloh is most diff a tom boy.

I don't understand the comments that indicate people are bothered by this and assume Ang or Brad forced this on her. How do you know she didn't ask to have her hair like this? This is on trend for little girls at the moment, with the colors and feathers and such, and bottom line is who gives an F? If she's rockin' it let her rock it, and it shouldn't turn into a commentary on race. It's blue hair extensions, that's it. I was more bothered by the sentence than I was by her blue extensions..." Let's just hope she doesn't get too out of hand--we don't need any mini Nicki Minajs running around." Why don't we need any mini Nickis running around? Creativity, difference, female dominance...those are bad things? I'd have to disagree. IMO.

Well stated. I agree. It's more likely that Zahara "worried" her mother to death until she gave in because that's what little girls do! It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with being a girly-girl and embracing a fad.

Having said that, I do think one Nicky Minja is quite enough! IMO LOL.

Never in the history of things that are not news has here been something that is less news than this. I thought this was a fake headline from The Onion at first.

She is adorable and the blue color is fine, my only gripe is little black girls with fake hair. Many black women rely on fake hair instead of taking care of their own. I want little black girls to grow up and love their hair instead of hating it because it isn't straight and doesn't fall into place when they wake up. I prefer to take care of a little girl's hair and let it grow so she can have real braids and not fake ones. Just my opinion. I don't mean to offend anyone.

Not offended emmeaki, you are entitle to an opinion, and though I agree with you, some extensions are OK, there are extension for black hair and some times wool can be used too.
I like to use a burgundy wool on plaited into my braided hair for color instead of chemicals which damages the hair

just because bw have as you put it "fake hair"... doesn't mean that they hate their own hair...and that they don't take care of the hair they have...

I didn't say every single person, but yes, many black woman do hate their hair and YES I know plenty of black woman whose own hair is damaged from years of wearing weaves and tight braids. And yes, it is fake hair, as I correctly stated.

Seriously - imagine when all the Jolie-Pitt kids are teenagers?! It's going to be great for gossip but I don't envy them growing up in the public eye.

She's adorable!! I love her little style. Angie and Brad are doing a good job with their kids.

Pretty little girl with her own sense of style.

As for all the negativity on this thread, may you reap what you sow.

She is at that age where they want to try something their hair. This is probably an extension braided into her hair just like I see little girls getting feathers braided into their hair. No harm, no foul. She's pretty.
