Brandon Marshall Traded: Bears Acquire Receiver From Dolphins

Brandon Marshall Traded

The first big splash of the new NFL year didn't come via free agency. Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reported on Tuesday that the Miami Dolphins have agreed to trade Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall to Chicago in exchange for a pair of third-round draft picks.

ESPN's Adam Schefter also reported the trade, indicating that one third-round pick is for the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft and the other is for 2013.

Marshall was traded to Miami from the Denver Broncos before the 2010 season for two second-round picks.

In Miami, Marshall recorded 167 catches for 2,228 yards and nine touchdowns.

Marshall will reunite with quarterback Jay Cutler in Chicago, a former teammate from his stint with Denver.
