The Alabama primary and Mississippi primary are taking place on Tuesday, along with the Hawaii Caucus.
The latest polls out on the race in the two southern states show former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich running competitively against one another in the presidential battlegrounds. U.S. Rep. Ron Paul goes into Tuesday's contests trailing rival contenders.
As Romney leads the field in delegates, Santorum is looking to challenge the former governor's frontrunner status. Meanwhile, despite recent pressure to abandon his campaign, Gingrich insists that he will not drop out of the race.
