'I Hate My Teenage Daughter' Pulled From Fox Schedule

'I Hate My Teenage Daughter' Is As Good As Dead

UPDATE: Fox has pulled "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" early. According to The Hollywood Reporter, reruns of "Raising Hope" will air at 8:30 p.m. ET on Tues., March 27 and April 3.

"I Hate My Teenage Daughter" is as good as dead. Fox has canceled its plans to shift the critically-panned and low-rated freshman comedy about two moms and their teenage offspring, according to EW.

Instead of moving from Tuesday to Wednesdays in April, the comedy-- which only had 3.6 million viewers tune into its most recent episode-- has been shelved until the summer. Two-hour episodes of "American Idol" will make up Wednesdays instead of the previously announced 90-minute installments. A Fox representative confirmed the scheduling change.

The last episode of "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" is currently scheduled for Tues., April 3 at 8:30 p.m. ET, but Fox says they plan to air the remaining episodes in the summer.

The Huffington Post's Maureen Ryan reviewed "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" in November and said the show is "an example of writers standing outside their characters in order to heap more scorn and mockery on women who display weakness."

"I Hate My Teenage Daughter" stars Jaime Pressly as Annie Watson and Katie Finneran as Nikki Miller. The show debuted to more than 6 million viewers, but was shelved in December. It returned in March to 3.7 million viewers.

"Raising Hope" and "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" took the Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET timeslot previously occupied by "Glee." "Glee" returns to Fox on Tues., April 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
