Kim Kardashian, Jon Hamm Feud Pulls Jonathan Cheban To Reality Star's Side

Jonathan Cheban: Jon Hamm 'Needs To Shut Up'

After calling Kim Kardashian a "f*cking idiot," "Mad Men" actor Jon Hamm is attempting to dial back his insulting comments.

"It's surprising to me that it has become remotely a story. I don't know Ms. Kardashian, I know her public persona. What I said was meant to be more on pervasiveness of something in our culture, not personal," Hamm said. But for Kardashian and her pals, it was personal.

Although Hamm never technically apologized to Kardashian, he's learned his lesson when it comes to making enemies with reality TV's reigning queen: His spokesperson tells me he has no further comment about Kim.

However, Kardashian's best friend Jonathan Cheban will not remain silent.

"Jon Hamm just needs to shut up and stop being such a mad man," Cheban tells me.

What started the verbal war between the pair were Hamm's comments that stupidity was celebrated in our culture, using Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian as examples.

Kim responded to the jab via Twitter, saying, "Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, 'stupid,' is in my opinion careless."
