Racist Anti-Obama Sticker Makes Rounds On Facebook

A photograph of a bumper sticker that features racist, anti-Obama language has gone viral on Facebook and other social networks.

The sticker reads "Don't Re-Nig In 2012," in large white type, above smaller text that reads: "Stop repeat offenders. Don't re-elect Obama!"

The offensive design appears to have originated at a site called Stumpy's Stickers, where it can be purchased. The site sells variations on the same idea, including another "Don't Re-Nig" design featuring a caricature of a black man's face with a missing tooth, a picture of a chimp that reads "Obama 2012," and another with a drawing of several Ku Klux Klan members that reads "The Original Boys In The Hood."

Wow, it's pretty scary and infuriating that people still think like this. But at the same time, the poorly designed stickers make me feel like those people aren't very intelligent or powerful in the world anymore.

Great idea.. and so is the insulting slide show that collects all of the racist paraphernalia in a single place. Great thinking Huffington Post.. The stickers are pretty stupid looking and probably will just infuriate anyone who is not already racist. Personally I think it's important to be educated about what kinds of bigoted opinions exist if you care about eliminating them.

There are actually two stickers in the photograph - the racist anti-Obama sticker, and a sticker for the shotgun maker Benelli. Ultimately, it's the fact that this racist person has both stickers that should concern us the most.

Just got back from stumpy's stickers and it was humorous and sad all at once. People who need to throw their racism into the faces of everyone else are (to quote Cheney) "in the last throes" of overt racism.

Honestly when people call me a racist because I'm a republican gets really old really fast. I have white black mexican and asian friends so calling me a racist doesnt apply to me. Also, black people who have the attitude "hes white he owes me something because of slavery" that gets old because slavery ended 200 years ago, is there discrimination, yes, is discrimination widespread, no. I really dont care if you are black white etc, if you can do something the same as a person of a different skin color, ok, but I dont really care.

you fail. discrimination is wide spread. Its why black unemployment is twice the national average, why 10 times as many blacks get stopped and frisked in places with these type of laws, why B of A and Wells Fargo just settled discriminatory lending lawsuits, why the Republicans are pushing so hard for voter ID laws. Try harder. Denial isnt just a river in Egypt.

You know as well as anyone that even 1/8th black makes you black in the minds of white people in this country.

We boycotted South Africa for apartheid but there's a de facto apartheid in this country that sees any slightly brown skin as "black" --- exactly the same criterion used in S.A.
