Solange Knowles Stars In Carol's Daughter 'Transitioning Movement' Campaign Video

Ever since Solange Knowles chopped off her tresses to embrace her natural hair, we've been inspired by her marvelous mane and killer confidence.

It's that same level of inspiration and spirit that the beauty company Carol's Daughter is hoping to bring to women who have transitioned, or are thinking about transitioning to their natural hair--so it makes perfect sense that they would tap Solange, who is already a spokeswoman for the company, for their "Transitioning Movement" campaign.

"We're so excited about the upcoming launch of the 'Transitioning Movement.' Carol's Daughter has always been a champion of embracing your individual beauty, and this is one more way that we're giving women the encouragement and tools they need to make it happen, Lisa Price the founder of Carol's Daughter, told Huffington Post Black Voices."
And to further support and celebrate women making the change, Carol's Daughter is launching a “Transitioning Beauties of the Week," where natural beauties can submit photos and their stories for the chance to be featured on the website.

The "movement" launches in early April. In the meantime, check out these other stars who have said "oh yes!" to au natural.

When I read transitionin' I thought it was about someone goin' from one gender to anotha one. If ya follow me. So she is earin' her natural hair. Right On. I been wearin' my natural (ala Angela Davis) for about the last 15 or so years. I like Pantene for women of color shampoo. Latley my natural just ain't right. Jus like me, it do what it wanna when it wanna. I found puttin' some baby oil on it and then liftin' it out works. I was rollin' it with sponge rollers but that doesn't seem to work anymore. I don't know 'bout different styles. I'm from the 60's Afro generation. It was good enough for me then; it's good enough for me now. But this is just me. But I do so love Sista Esperanza Spalding's Afro. Mine ain't as large as her's but we be on the same page. Right On to all my Sistas who recognize. Life.

Someone should write a book about how to do a lot of natural hair styles. That would make a fortune, I think. My hair is already natural (always has been), but in braids (with extensions), and I'd love to leave it completely free, but not just as an afro everyday. I think a lot more people would stick to their natural hair if they felt they could do more styles with it

Carol's Daughter has moved so far away from the company it used to be and the product it used to sell. I had been using CD since the mid 90's. Gave it to friends and family as gifts all year long. Always recommended it. As time passed and they grew, customer service became a HOT MESS and the products were no longer made all natural. I guess that is the price of success and going HOLLYWOOD! It was customers like me though who faithfully bought their products and told others about it. We are no longer important to their bottom line. Now they have discontinued most of their original scents. The new stuff smells weak and cheap. The price has gone up and the bottles/containers have shrunk. I applaud Solonge for her natural transition, but I wonder about that video and this so called "new" campaign. Very disappointing. I have been no longer patronize CD. I wish them well. Lisa Price worked hard to make a name for herself and put her company on the map. There are many other natural and organic companies in the market, now smaller but offering amazing natural/organic products for the hair, body and soul ...

Solange's natural hair is gorgeous. Anyone who thinks it looks "ghetto" should check their self-hate at the door!

Shame on Carols Daughter. I supported them when they where small and personal and shipments came from a small B-Ny warehouse. I and everyone i introduced to them spent and supported them with well earned blue collar money. Then....one day Jada and Will show up as fans... Oprah acknowledges use of and next thing you know they are corporate. Prices skyrocket....great selection dwindles..,,,I am not hatein because of success...i'm pissed because they sold out and forgot how they became the name hollywood brothers and sisters only can afford!!!! Greed kills and seperates us everyday!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the natural look but they should've had some shots of her hair down and in various natural styles vs the same look for 30 seconds. Good music.

I stopped ordering Carol's Daughter due to overpricing. Also, I checked the Mixed Chicks hair products and their products are pretty pricy as well.
