What: "Because you needn't dog, nor dine, alone." This one-hour yoga classed will be followed by a vegetarian meal by Clean Plates and M Café de Chaya. Yoga followed by dinner with the person whose butt was just in your face is actually appropriate, because yoga is more than just exercise -- it's a community. Mingus Dynasty
What: Charles Mingus is one of history's greatest jazz legends. A bandleader, bassist and composer, he left behind more than 300 compositions when he died. After his death, his widow created Mingus Dynasty, a band to keep her deceased husband's music alive. Three decades later, the seven-member band is still active and is playing at UCLA this weekend in a performance that will include their voices and continually evolving interpretations of their namesake's masterpieces.

Go Green
What: LA has everything you could possibly want for your St. Patty's day celebration, including leprechauns, bagpipers and Celtic dancers. If you plan to rotate from Irish coffee to green beer and Irish whiskey all weekend long, our girl Marpop has you covered from Pasadena to West LA to Orange County. She also lays out the Irish feasts available, so get ready for soda bread, corned beef and cabbage, Guinness cupcakes, bangers, black pudding and much more. "Seinfeld" Fans, Rejoice
What: In a town full of aspiring comedians, one of the greats is hitting the stage. Jerry Seinfeld himself will treat Angelenos to a stand-up routine at the Pantages Friday and Saturday. According to Pantages, this national tour is the first time he's hit the stage solo in over 10 years. "Now there's nothing wrong with that!"

"All City Killers"
What: Royal/T is a café, shop and art space. Bolla is an "avant-garde Japanese 'pop' art-inspired" clothing and accessory label. The two are partnering up for a month-long Bolla pop-up shop, and the kick-off party is Saturday. Go for Bolla's new collection titled "All City Killers." Or go for the party, which features food from Royal/T's kitchen, sweets from Sweet Beats ice cream truck and drinks from Pabst Blue Ribbon and Monster Energy.

SUNDAY
LA Marathon
What: The city's annual marathon is Sunday. Runners will trek from the Dodger Stadium to the Sea, passing through historic landmarks along the way, including the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Rodeo Drive. There will also be an Expo at the Stadium, all day Friday and Saturday, featuring 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest goodies in sports, fitness and nutrition. Lastly, beware of the street closures.

What: Persian New Year, or Nowruz, is an artistic affair, so it's appropriate that LACMA is hosting a celebration. This all-day event will feature musicians and dancers, short films, art exhibits and a traditional centerpiece. For children, there will be story readings, calligraphy and children's entertainment. See ya winter; it's spring!
