Meghan McCain: Bristol Palin's Claim About My Mother And Me Was 'A Total Lie'

Meghan McCain doesn't appear to be a fan of some comments Bristol Palin made in her recent memoir "Not Afraid Of Life: My Journey So Far."

In the book, Sarah Palin's daughter tells stories from the 2008 campaign trail and writes about her experiences with John McCain's daughter Meghan and wife Cindy. Per ABC News, Bristol said of the McCain women, "I'd never seen people with so much Louis Vuitton luggage, so many cell phones, and so many constant helpers to do hair and makeup."

Meghan shot back at Bristol's claims in a new interview with Playboy. "I did bump into her [Bristol] at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, actually," said McCain. She continued:

"I saw her across the room. That girl biffed it fast, totally took off. All that stuff she wrote was a total lie. I have, like, one Louis Vuitton purse. She's just young and confused and was thrust into all this. The media aren't kind to her. But once someone signs up for Dancing With the Stars, it's hard to sympathize."

On the subject of Palin's "Dancing With The Stars" stint, and presumably the TLC reality show "Sarah Palin's Alaska," McCain was asked if she had any interest in appearing on reality television. "Never!" she said, explaining that "Hell would freeze over before I would do a reality show." Summing up her own dancing prowess, McCain joked, "You certainly won't see me dancing on TV. I'm the worst. I have, like, two moves--the hair flip and the shoulder move and that's it, baby."

As previously reported, McCain also touched upon the 2012 presidential contest in her Playboy interview. "It's just been so lame," she said. Lamenting the lack of "electricity" in the race thus far, she explained, "You'd think someone would rise up and tap the frustration and energy of the Occupy movement or the Tea Party, but it just hasn't happened yet."

McCain also told the magazine that she was "very uncool in high school." On her sex life, she explained that she is "not a lesbian," adding "I’m strictly dickly. I can’t help it. I love sex and I love men."

The full Playboy interview can be found here.

We are a culture of minor celebrities with no discernible talents or skills. Fame for fame's sake is the goal. That said, I actually like and respect Ms. McCain because she doesn't whine about her fame. It is what it is, and she seems to roll with it. She readily acknowledges her shortcomings with no apology. Yes, Hunter Thompson might indeed have liked her.

As for the Palins, how can anyone "let them be" as one comment begged, when they constantly inject themselves into every possible opportunity to be in the spotlight. How can we miss them when they won't go away?
Please go away, please?

Why can't people just leave the Palin's alone? They're not bothering anyone yet people have to still make continued comments about them. Just leave them be. Or, do they really frighten you that much? Hrmm... Maybe be Sarah is more powerful than some give her credit for?

She's a smart girl. She could take her views & make them a platform for Moderate Republicans. Instead, she's making crude & childish remarks in Playboy. Take Chelsea Clinton's advice & stay out of the media drama & actually DO something with your life other than debating over designer bags.

Classy, Meghan. I'm sure you're father is ecstatic knowing the whole world now knows about your sex life & the rest of us can now sleep knowing you're "strictly dickly". Bristol going on Dancing With The Stars is hardly as distasteful as an interview with Playboy. Your attempt at being a young version of Elisabeth Hasselbeck is drab. Here you have this great opportunity at your feet & you waste it arguing over Louis Viutton & dance moves with a 20yr old girl who has more responsibilities than you have ever had. Maybe both of you girls should take some lessons from Chelsea Clinton, get an education, put it to good use, learn something about 'life' & keep out of the media spotlight drama. This coming from a Conservative Republican McCain/Palin fan.

I can't get over the title of that book....."Not Afraid of Life?"....most people I know are not afraid either, unless you add the horrendous fight for financial survival that pervades their every day. Hers, life as of late, is a gifted one with opportunity's falling to her feet left and right.
It just seems to me that a title like that - and I may be wrong and am readily able to admit to such, is....uhmm almost offensive? Naive? Disconnected?....in our current times?

When women start acting and talking like men and men start talking about them and treating them like men , then they get all offended. She should have kept the "strickly dicky" comment to herself.

LOL Hell would freeze over before she does reality TV or something like dancing with the stars but that doesn't stop her from getting cozy with playboy! Gotta love ones considerations of 'lame' and 'good'.

I would be very disappointed if my daughter stated publically that she was "strictly dickly" ... what ever happened to carrying yourself with class?

It's left office when Reagan did. I'm sure her father is thrilled with the fact that we all know her sex life now.

Who cares who said what, they are both sexy! Republican women are always better looking than the Democrats for some reason.

More refined is also a good term. However, Hillary is as smart as they are.

I believe Bristol's mom was the one that had a hair and makeup team that cost the GOP $140,000 per month.................
11:31 AM on 03/19/2012
I think that was the wardrobe cost but still your point is well taken.

That's not a good idea. Words are fine, but violence is not.
