The Brooklyn Museum hosts the first large-scale retrospective of artist Keith Haring and his early works. The exhibition includes over 150 works on paper, various experimental videos, and over 150 archival objects chronicling Haring's beginner years as an artist in New York City. Susan Sarandon, Courtney Love, and Patricia Field were among the many out to celebrate the exhibit's opening.

David LaChapelle: Earth Laughs In Flowers

Acclaimed photographer David LaChapelle showcases a beautiful series of traditional Baroque still life painting with contemporary "vanity, vice, the transience of earthly possessions." LaChapelle combines the Baroque with everything from cigarettes, cell phones, Barbies and balloons to his compositions.

Roommates Wanted Party

Price: $5, free if you have space to rent
The concept is simple. Whether you're looking for a new spot to call home or in need of a roommate to fill a vacant room, Soda Bar is hosting an event to get you hooked up. RSVP with your name and state what you're searching for. Beer and wine specials too!

Art After Dark

The Guggenheim's iconic rotunda plays host to an after-hours party where guests can enjoy a special exhibition (John Chamberlain: Choices is this season's choice) with a cash bar.

Tensnake and Simian Mobile Disco DJ Set

Price: $12 in advance, $15 day of show
German based producer Tensnake teams up with Simian Mobile Disco for a celebration of electronic music at Le Poisson Rouge's "Fixed" party that promises to bring together different genres and interesting styles for the Sunday evening party.

The Outsiders

Start your weekend mornings with brunch and nostalgia at Nitehawk. The boozy theater will be screening Francis Ford Coppola's "The Outsiders," the classic, coming of age story of Ponyboy, the Greasers, and the Socs. Watch the trailer below:
