'Prisoners': Hugh Jackman To Star In Kidnapping Drama From Director Denis Villeneuve

Hugh Jackman Joins 'Prisoners'

If Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg are unavailable, who's your next best option? Hugh Jackman, of course!

According to Variety, Jackman has signed on to star in the film "Prisoners." From Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, the movie follows a small-town carpenter (Jackman), who takes the law into his own hands when his daughter and best friend are kidnapped.

This movie adds to Jackman's already crowded slate of upcoming films. In addition to "Prisoners," Hugh is set to star as Jean Valjean in the musical adaptation of "Les Misérables," the ensemble comedy "Movie 43," another "Wolverine" film, and the P.T. Barnum biopic, "The Greatest Showman on Earth."

"Prisoners" is set to shoot in 2013, once Jackman completes his work on "Wolverine."
