Steve Wozniak First In Line (Again) For New iPad

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak once again beat everyone else to the punch for the release of a new Apple product.

At 6:19 p.m. PT on March 15 Wozniak tweeted that he was already starting a line for the new iPad's release at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 16. According to Business Insider, he and his wife had been waiting there since Thursday at noon.

His great desire to get his hands on Apple's newest product isn't all that surprising -- just last October, Wozniak was first in line at a Los Gatos, Calif., Apple store for the launch of the iPhone 4S, too.

This time around, he checked in on Foursquare at Westfield Century City Mall in Los Angeles, Calif. Wozniak told What's Trending's Shira Lazar that he hit up an L.A. store this time around because he had to deliver a keynote speech in the area right after grabbing his new iPad.

But why, as a co-founder of Apple, is he so willing to wait in line for hours with everyone else? He explained:

I'd rather be in there, and be, like, genuine, like the real people. I want to be one of the people lined up and wait all night, and you know Apple's just that important to us, to so many of us. So, why not, you know?
