Police in Draper, Utah, have arrested a 31-year-old man they say killed a teenage girl after she refused to have sex with him.
ABC 4 reports that Daniel Lehi Ferry was charged with killing 15-year-old Anne Grae Kasprzak. The station also reported that a witness reportedly saw Ferry attack Kasprzak inside a home and later carry "her unconscious body into a car."
Kasprzak's body was found in the Jordan River on March 11 and police have said they found blood that matched Kasprzak inside the house.
But a person who claimed to be friends with Ferry told KSL they were surprised by the arrest.
"I think this is crazy and I think it's obscene for sure," the woman told the station. "They definitely have the wrong person."
The Deseret News reports that "A Celebration of Annie's Life" took place this weekend.
