Household Chores: Married Women Spend 3 Hours Per Week Redoing Husbands' Chores

How Much Time Do Women Spend Redoing Their Husbands' Chores?

The only thing worse than doing chores is having to do them twice.

According to a recent study by UK supermarket chain Sainsbury's, women spend an average of three hours a week redoing chores that they feel their partners haven't done properly.

The main areas where men fall short? Laundry, vacuuming and washing dishes, reports The Daily Mail.

Half of the 2,000 women polled said that they don't tell their partners they've done a bad job -- perhaps because two-thirds said they genuinely believe that their partners did their best.

But some researchers say that doing housework properly has benefits for men, especially in the bedroom. The more housework men do, the more often women will have sex with their spouses, according to a 2009 study published in the Journal of Family Issues.
