Selita Ebanks Debuts Swimwear Line On BET's 'Rip The Runway' (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

Who knows how to rock a swimsuit better than a former Victoria's Secret model? VS alum Selita Ebanks has donned her share (and lived to tell about it), so it was no surprise when she announced the launch of her own collection of swimsuits, shoes and beach coverups called Sass by Selita last month. Now the former Angel's beachwear line is ready for its closeup.

Ebanks gave the public a peek at her goods when BET's eight annual "Rip The Runway" fashion show was filmed in New York City last month; the rest of the world gets to see the sexy wares when the show airs this Wednesday night.

With inspiration undoubtedly springing from her experience as a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 2005 to 2008 and her appearance in Sport Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue in 2007, Ebank's collection is not for the faint of heart.

“It takes a certain kind of women to have sass -- very confident, sexy and independent,” Ebanks told the New York Daily News.

Sass, which stands for "Selita's Accessories, Shoes and Swimwear," is slated to hit stores this fall.

In between noshing and swimming, I'm reading The Commitment, a memoir by sex advice columnist Dan Savage, who describes how he and his boyfriend wrestled with the idea of marriage after 10 years of a committed relationship, and while raising their son, whom they adopted at birth.

bravo. i appreciate any fashion show where the models look like real women, as opposed to the emaciated 15 year-olds most designers seem so obsessed with.

Real women, as you so describe them, come in all shapes and sizes. Don't hate skinny girls just because they're not shaking body fat. There IS such a thing as perfectly healthy, thin women. Your comment pretty much insults a great many (oh, I dunno, few million) Asian women.

i don't see too many Asian women on the fashion catwalk, so i find it hard to understand how that comment is seen as being insulting to them. yes, women do come in all shapes and sizes, which is precisely why it would be nice to see that reflected in the world of fashion. the majority of models at fashion shows are around 16 years old or younger. in what universe is that representative of the range of shapes of women?
