Penn Badgley Hunger Games

It's nice to see that some celebrities are as fascinated with "The Hunger Games" as the rest of us, and for one "Gossip Girl" star, the record-breaking film is more than just a cinematic epic.

Penn Badgley, a staunch supporter of Occupy Wall Street, recently spoke to Vulture after the film's premiere in New York about how he interpreted "The Hunger Games" as a social commentary on OWS.

"It's the one percent [killing the kids]," he said. "I think you'd have to be blind to not see that. I was shocked to see all that in there."

Fans of Suzanne Collins' "Hunger Games" trilogy already know where Katniss Everdeen's journey ends, but for Badgley, an obvious newcomer to "The Hunger Games" phenomenon, he founds himself putting the pieces together as the film went on.

"I thought it was just going to be the games," the "Gossip Girl" actor said. "But then I realized, and I thought, 'If this doesn't end in revolution, it's irresponsible, because of everything it's bringing up.' If Katniss doesn't become a f**king revolutionary, then I don't know what they're doing. And as it went on, I went, 'F**k! That's what they're doing!' Which is cool."

Badgley wasn't the only one with a strong reaction to "The Hunger Games." Check out a few other celebrity reactions below.
