Schools Can Take Pink Slime Off Lunch Menu

The USDA said it will offer ground beef that has not been treated with ammonium hydroxide to the National School Lunch Program.

Oh dang, I sure hope the schools wise up and learn that the masses don't want their kids to eat pink slim and to not serve the "meat" but then again...the whole USDA needs to do something about safe "meat" period.

Why is it that American childrens' school lunches are so abysmal? In Europe, kids are given nutritious meals, low in fat, high in protein, low in sugar. We, the GREATEST nation on earth, cannot be bothered to make school lunches not only edible but nutritious?

My son tell me they have french fries and hamburgers nearly every day. No wonder it's one of the reason we have the fatest kids on earth. Combine that with no exercise and: obesity.
