'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation': Alice In Wonderland Wedding Ends In Disaster (VIDEO)

Things started off a little surreal on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (Wed., 10 p.m. ET on CBS) with a wedding based on "Alice in Wonderland." But then the festivities were interrupted by the White Rabbit and Cheshire Cat packing heat. It was but the first of what the team soon realized was a three-wedding spree by a couple who've done this in two cities prior to Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, David asked for a huge favor from Morgan when his mother came into town. He needed her to pretend to be his girlfriend so his mother Olivia, played by Jaclyn Smith, could think he'd finally found love and maybe get off his back. She ultimately played along, but then even this got to be more when she wound up staying longer than expected and coordinated a lunch with the pair and Morgan's father Conrad.

It's been made pretty clear on the show that Morgan's relationship with her father is strained. He's tried to reach through to her and establish some kind of a connection, but she's been cold toward him. When David and his mother wound up kidnapped by the wedding robbers, he proved himself more than a lab geek by taking control of the situation. With a little help from the outside, he effectively saved her life.

And while he admitted the truth about his relationship with Morgan, or lack thereof, the impromptu lunch did the important thing of breaking down some of the walls between Conrad and his daughter, so there's hope of a relationship building between the two of them.
