Carine Roitfeld's New Magazine: Even More Juicy Details!

Juicy New Details About Carine's New Magazine

For those of you who have waited with bated breath for ex-Vogue Paris honcho Carine Roitfeld to launch her next editorial gig, you're in luck: Carine's new 'zine will reportedly be here in about six months.

Roitfeld spilled some deets about her latest project to Women's Wear Daily, remaining coy but saying that the magazine will have no "front of the book" section and will focus on "fashion with a lot of freedom." Yay, fashion suffrage!

Roitfeld hasn't exactly been napping and eating bon-bons since absconding from Paris. She's soon to become a grandmother, and she's stayed knee-deep in the fashion biz, modeling for Barney's, styling photo shoots and even posing as Coco Chanel. Carine's also been spending a lot of time not talking to her replacement and arch-nemesis, current Vogue Paris editor Emmanuelle Alt.

But still, style bible aficionados have been eagerly awaiting the days when Carine would dip her toe back into editorial waters, and Roitfeld wants to take her new mag in a different direction than she's explored before. She had said previously that she wants to channel the more realistic side of fashion, telling Hint mag:

I will try to do another magazine, but not a monthly, something different. I want to see a link between the catwalk and reality. it's difficult for the woman to understand how to wear the clothes she is seeing on the catwalk. Maybe I can find a new way of thinking and a totally different way to express myself.

And here are two more juicy rumors: the magazine will not only be helmed in New York, but will be published by the famous Visionaire group that puts out V, V Man and its eponymous title.

Roitfeld's new magazine (tome?) is set to launch in September 2012 and will be published twice a year.
