Another example of wealthy Americans and corporations giving the shaft to America and it's people. For short term money. That must be some more of that trickle down economics.
That is, here a trickeling down is a nice toxic chemical cocktail to mix with your well water.

I don't understand why so many corporations, oil companies, etc. don't invest in greener practices. It would benefit everybody. I know civilized and educated people would support those companies whole- heatedly. Even willing to pay a little more. Don't the executives at these companies have children and grandchildren? I just really don't get it. Pay for the green modifications now, be supported by the consumers, duh!

It IS illegal.  The First Amendment prohibits limiting anyone's speech.
