Steve Doocy Shares Deeply Depressing Dog Story On 'Fox & Friends' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Fox News Hosts' Awkward Dog Moment

Fox News' Steve Doocy shared a rather awkward and deeply depressing story during Friday's "Fox & Friends."

Following an uplifting tale of a cat who survived a 19-story fall from a Boston building, Doocy shared a similar story that was actually not similar at all.

"I have a friend living here in New York City," Doocy said. "Their little dog saw a little bird off the balcony, jumped to get it—35 stories." When asked about the dog's fate, Doocy added, "wasn't a happy ending."

People off-camera began to laugh, presumably due to Doocy's bizarre Debbie Downer moment. The show then tossed to co-host Brian Kilmeade who was standing in a different part of the studio, ready to give his sports report. Kilmeade looked clearly dissatisfied with the segue over to his segment and yelled, "What kind of toss is that?! Come on!"

Doocy apologized but Kilmeade insisted he do the toss over. "Go back to him," Kilmeade said to his producers. "Just try it again. I don't want the dead dog story."

Doocy re-told the anecdote but changed the story so it had a happy, Hollywood ending. Much appreciated, sir!

Doocy has had some other noteworthy moments on Fox News' morning show. In December, Doocy flirted with and was fondled by celebrity chef Paula Dean. He was also a fierce competitor in the show's relay race.
