Orphaned Baby Owls Get New Home, Move In With Buddy Jimmy Robinson (PHOTOS)

After hatching in an incubator at a hawk conservancy in England, two orphaned baby owls have moved in with their new dad, park keeper Jimmy Robinson for a month of hand-rearing at his home, MSNBC's Animal Tracks reports.

The burrowing owlets, named Linford and Christie, are 6 weeks old and will require 24-hour care. According to the network, the species gets its names from burrowing in small spaces in the wild.

Since the pair is still too weak to be let into the wild and requires so much attention, the 25-year-old park keeper told the UK's Metro newspaper that he's become like family to them.

"As I spend so much time with them they do look at me as their surrogate mum and will follow me around the house or sit on my shoulder," he told the Metro. "They also enjoy the security of sitting inside their teacups and sugar bowls and like to find small spaces on my bookshelf and in between my DVD collection to snuggle up into."

When it's time to go to work, Robinson told the paper he carries them with him in a large lunchbox. Aww!
