'Blueprint for Accountability' 2012: Experts Meet To Discuss The Economy Creatively (LIVE VIDEO)

LIVE: Watch An Artistic Discussion On The Economy

The Culture Project is trying something new in the discussion on the economy. Instead of pitting opposing sides and opinions against one another; they are inviting them to have a conversation -- live. Tonight is the next installment of their "Blueprint for Accountability" project titled "The Wall Street-Washington Connection."

The Culture Project is an art and activism project, using creative means to broadcast marginalized voices. Their series "Blueprint for Accountability" started in 2009 with the goal to bring expert speakers in politics, journalism, academia and civic activism together. Combined with theater and film, their voices create an entertaining lecture and discussion surrounding hot topics.

Tonight's theme, "The Wall Street-Washington Connection,” explores one of the most talked about subjects today -- the economy. The panel will be moderated by MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan and includes Eliot Spitzer (former New York Governor and Attorney General, who blogged about the event on HuffPost), Matt Taibbi (contributing editor at Rolling Stone), Ron Suskind (Pulitzer-Prize-winning journalist and author), Van Jones (author and President of “Rebuild the Dream”), Jesse LaGreca (Occupy Wall Street activist and writer for Daily Kos), and Heather McGhee (director of Demos Washington). Anna Khaja ("True Blood"), Charles Parnell ("NCIS"), and Steven Pasquale ("Rescue Me") will be performing dramatic readings.

Previous "Blueprint" themes have included the "War on Terror" and the "Attica Prison Rebellion and Massacre."

"The Wall Street Washington Connection” is at Georgetown University as a part of the school's Lannan Spring Symposium and Literary Festival.

The event is invite-only, but watch below for the livestream tonight starting at 7 p.m. EST.
