'Dance Moms': Plastic Surgery Themed Dance Routine Is Abby Lee Miller's Latest Controversial Creation (VIDEO)

"Dance Moms" plastic surgery-themed dance routine

"Dance Moms" (Tues., 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime) supremo Abby Lee Miller has had some contentious routines before, but Tuesday night she put together a routine themed around plastic surgery, which seemed to confuse just about everybody.

Wearing flesh-colored costumes and fake surgical scars the girls danced to music from "Nip/Tuck", which some viewers found unsettling.

Just what was Miller hoping to achieve with this routine? Was she taking a shot at the "Dance Moms" who'd all said they'd have surgery themselves? Or was she trying to teach the dancers a lesson about body image? BuddyTV pointed out that the girls didn't even seem to know why they were dancing about plastic surgery so any message was probably lost on them.

The questionable decisions continue each week on "Dance Moms," Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
