Nestor Carbonell Joins 'Smart One,' An ABC Pilot, And More Casting News

Which 'Lost' Star Is Going For Comedy?

Nestor Carbonell may be trading drama for comedy. The "Lost" vet, who currently stars on The CW's "Ringer," is headed to ABC's comedy pilot "Smart One."

According to TVLine, Carbonell will play Jude (Portia de Rossi)'s wealthy, real-estate developer ex-boyfriend. Executive produced by De Rossi's wife Ellen Degeneres, the buzzed-about comedy pilot stars De Rossi and Malin Akerman as sisters with very different personalities. De Rossi plays the whip-smart Jude, while Akerman co-stars as the far less smart, Candy.

In addition to "Ringer" and "Lost," Carbonell has had guest-starring roles on "Wilfred," "Psych," and more.
