Titanic Cruise Offered To Mark 100th Anniversary

'Titanic' Cruise To Mark 100th Anniversary

In another strange tribute to mark the 100th anniversary of the sinking of Titanic, British travel agency Miles Morgan Travel is selling tickets for a trans-atlantic cruise aboard the Balmoral, which will follow the same route as the Titanic did.

The Balmoral which holds about half as many passengers as Titanic did, will depart from South Hampton, England and stop in Cobh, Ireland, following the Titanic's route. The ship will stop and hold a memorial service at the site where the ship sank, exactly 100 years later on April 14, 2012 from 11:40pm to 2:20am.

In an odd twist, the Balmoral, which was leased by Miles Morgan Travel for this cruise, is owned by Fred Olsen, whose parent company is Harland and Wolff, who built the Titanic.
