'Rise Of The Guardians' Trailer: What If Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny And The Tooth Fairy Saved The World (VIDEO)

WATCH: 'Rise Of The Guardians' Trailer Lets Santa And Co. Save The World

"Rise of the Guardians," the new animated feature from the producers of "How To Train Your Dragon," starts with an interesting twist. What if Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and the Sandman didn't just provide gifts, rewards and sweet dreams to the planet's children, but instead acted like some holly-jolly version of "Watchmen"? Would it be awesome or super awesome?

Judging from the first trailer for "Rise of the Guardians," a little of both -- this despite some Borscht-drenched narration from Alec Baldwin, voicing the only Kris Kringle you've ever seen with "naughty" and "nice tattooed on his forearms.

Executive produced by Guillermo del Toro and featuring the voices of Baldwin, Hugh Jackman (Easter Bunny), Isla Fisher (Tooth Fairy), Chris Pine (Jack Frost) and Jude Law (as the villainous Boogeyman), the trailer for "Guardians" offers kids the chance to embrace their inner Rorschach. It all looks perfectly fun and transportive, and -- more important -- kinda original. Ironic, since "Rise of the Guardians" is based on the William Joyce book series "Guardians of Childhood."

Look for "Rise of the Guardians" in theaters on Nov. 21. Head over to Apple to watch the trailer in HD.
