Final Four 2012: Louisville Bride's Wedding Day Conflicts With Basketball Game (VIDEO)

When Kentucky bride Annie Owens started planning her wedding a year ago, she had no idea that her nuptials would coincide with one of the most highly-anticipated basketball games in the state.

Owens' wedding, which will take place on Saturday at a baseball diamond in Louisville, will be a charming Kentucky-themed affair, complete with fleur-de-lis decor and a bourbon tasting. But Owens is worried that guests may be more focused on the NCAA Basketball Championship Final Four match-up than the "I Do's".

For the first time ever, rival teams from the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky will play each other in the Final Four tournament.

Owens said her wedding ceremony will only last half an hour, but her brother Zak Owens, who is also a groomsman, is skeptical. "Wedding ceremonies last much longer than that so I don't believe her," said Owens, who is a Louisville fan. "As soon as the wedding is over I am pulling out the phone." Owens' groom has not spoken to the media about the wedding-basketball conflict thus far.

The bride-to-be says there will be a 50-inch television at the reception.

At least Owens' brother will be attending her Big Day. In an online poll published in February, 20 percent of respondents said they would miss the wedding of a close family member to attend another major sporting event -- the Super Bowl.
