'The Pauly D Project' Series Premiere: Pauly's excited about his new gig in Las Vegas

The first "Jersey Shore" spin-off show made its debut Thursday night, but was "The Pauly D Project" (Thu., 10:30 p.m. ET on MTV) any good?

Fans and critics have given the buddyfest a lukewarm reception so far. The "Boston Herald" wrote, “Watching someone revel in his success is not nearly as interesting as watching someone try to earn it.”

Meanwhile, viewers tweeted "Pauly D Project #MEH" and "...No thanks".
