ACM Awards 2012 Red Carpet Brought Glitz, Glamour & Legs (PHOTOS)

If you thought the days of Angelina Jolie'ing were over and the right-legged meme had finally disappeared, the 47th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards are here to remind you that it never left. Carrie Underwood led the red carpet charge, jutting her (left!) leg out of her silver gown, followed by Sara Evans and Caroline Bryan, wife of singer Luke Bryan, on (just one of) country music's biggest nights.

Most of the other stars, however, managed to keep both legs in their dresses. Miranda Lambert glowed in head-to-toe gold (although she later changed into a black leather-and-feathers confection that left us scratching our heads); Taylor Swift looked mature beyond her years in a stunningly simple white J. Mendel gown with gold accents; and Nicole Kidman (yup, she still comes to these things) eschewed Nashville glitz in favor of Hollywood sophistication in a slim black cocktail dress and red sandals.

I think they caught her when she was walking. That's my impression. But I found her dress to be safe and boring. She never does anything edgy on the red carpet.
