Anthropologie Dips Its Toe Into The Designer Collaborations Market (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Anthropologie To Debut Designer Collaborations

Now that H&M, Target, Urban Outfitters, Topshop, Macy's, Kohl's and every store in the Milky Way have started shilling designer collaboration collections, Fashionista reports that Anthropologie is finally caving in and jumping on the cool kids' bandwagon with its own bunch of sartorial pair-ups.

The big difference? As opposed to how stores like H&M do collabs (slinging them to the public one at a time), they’re launching 11 lines at once through a new platform on their website called Made in Kind.

True to Anthropologie's buying strategy now, the designers comprise a mishmash of indie names: Karen Walker (who's already previewed some of her Anthro pieces), Gregory Parkinson, John Patrick, Samantha Pleet, Charlotte Linton, Pipit, Rachel Rose and British brand Place Nationale.

And if you're used to pay Anthro prices, you're in luck: the new collab merchandise will fall in the same $120-$300 range.

The stuff is definitely cute -- we'll just have to see if shoppers are too collaboration-weary to shell out for more.
