It was really only a matter of time. All season long, fans have been waiting to see what would happen with Bree after the murder of Gabby's stepdad on "Desperate Housewives" (Sun., 9 p.m. ET on ABC). This week, the inevitable happened as the investigation caught up to her, and she was arrested for the murder. Never fear, there's still a couple of episodes left before the big finale. Plenty of time for a murder trial.
Lynette got some bad news of her own, smugly delivered by Tom's girlfriend. He'd signed the divorce papers, so what better way to make it hurt as much as possible then for the new girlfriend to hand deliver them. She should have checked to make sure Lynette was empty-handed, though. Instead, she caught her with a bowl of icing. So she flung some on the girlfriend, and then some more for good measure.
It won't change anything, but it is nice to get those aggressive feelings out there in a relatively healthy way. There are far worse things than icing that she could have thrown.
"Desperate Housewives" returns Sunday, April 29 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC for its final four hours.
