Judge To Hear Union Arguments; Aims To Throw Out Proposed Consent Agreement

Judge Could Block Detroit Consent Plan

A judge will hear one city union's argument stating the potential consent agreement between the state and the city should be thrown out. Today City Council members are scheduled to debate the topic.

A coalition of 5,400 city union members contends the state violated the Open Meetings Act. Their argument is schedule to be heard by the same Ingham County judge that has gone on the record saying he also believes this to be the case.
