Camille Grammer Explains Why She Quit 'Real Housewives'

Word last week that Camille Grammer would not be returning to "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" next season. Tuesday on "GMA"(weekdays, 7 a.m. ET on ABC) in an interview with Katie Couric, she explained why.

"I gave them a list of things that I didn't want to shoot: my children and my relationship with my boyfriend. I don't think my ex would have signed off on it, and I don't feel comfortable exposing my kids," she explained, as her new beau Dimitri Charalambopoulos watched from off-set.

Speaking of her ex-husband, actor Kelsey Grammer, Camille revealed just how painful it was to go through a divorce in front of reality TV cameras last season. "Well the first season was horrible because they were filming me during the worst year of my whole life. My whole life was falling apart ... my husband left me, he was having an affair with another woman in New York City while I was filming a reality show. It doesn't get worse than that."

She also responded to Kelsey's infamous comment that he pulled strings to have Camille cast on the show as his "parting gift" to her. "Thank you Kelsey for the gift of humiliation for the first season," she shot back with a wry smile.

But despite the unpleasantness of the experience, Grammer is taking some positives away from her two "Housewives" seasons. "At the end, I can say, I have a good relationship with the girls, I have a great relationship with the producers, I enjoyed my experience with the franchise, and we're still talking, I still talk to everybody."

When Couric asked if another reality show might be in her future, Grammer left the door open for a reality TV return. "All things are possible, possibly," she said.

Correction: A previous version of this post indicated that Grammer had been on "Real Housewives" for only one season. She was in fact on the show for two seasons.
