'Community': Dan Harmon Apologizes For Chevy Chase Feud

'Community' Boss: I Made A Mistake

"Community" boss Dan Harmon took to his blog to apologize to fans regarding his feud with series star Chevy Chase. Harmon is now saying: "I have to just acknowledge my mistake and apologize for it to the fans."

News first broke of a feud between Harmon and Chase this past weekend. Harmon reportedly played a profanity-laced voicemail Chase left him to an audience at a comedy show, after Harmon is said to have called Chase out for storming off set in front of the cast, crew and Chase's family at the "Community" Season 3 wrap party.

"I was doing what I always do, and always get in trouble for doing, and always pay a steep price for doing," Harmon wrote on his blog. "I was thinking about myself and I was thinking about making people laugh. I was airing my dirty laundry for a chuckle."

HuffPost TV's Maggie Furlong was on set of "Community" right before the show wrapped production on Season 3 and talked with Chase, who seemed to indicate his time with the series was coming to and end.

"I probably won't be around that much longer, frankly," he said.

On his blog, Harmon wrote he is anxious to put the issue behind him. "So, when you see me not talking about this, it’s not because I’m trying to get away with something, it’s because the more I say, the worse it gets," he wrote. "This is a topic that is driving ad sale revenue for a week but causing my favorite people in the world -- 'Community' fans -- distress. So my desire, like yours, is to wait for it to pass."
