Comedy Central announced Wednesday that First Lady Michelle Obama will appear as the guest on "The Colbert Report" on Wednesday, April 11. The appearance will mark Mrs. Obama's second appearance on the show, and her first since becoming First Lady.
"We are honored that the First Lady is joining us and I trust that the feeling is mutual," said Stephen Colbert in a statement.
Her "Colbert" appearance will mark the one-year anniversary of the First Lady's Joining Forces initiative, which honors and supports military families. On Wednesday, she unveiled a plan that should create 15,000 new jobs for military spouses. She also plans to spend Easter at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to hand out treats.
"The Colbert Report" will mark her second appearance on a comedy program in the last few weeks. She also attended Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards on Saturday with her daughters Sasha and Malia.
