Katy Perry: 'I Want To Be The Pinup Of The Future' (PHOTOS)

Are you tired of Katy Perry's blue hair yet?

If so, you are really not going to be feeling May's issue of Teen Vogue, because the singer rolls onto the cover in a tidal wave of cerulean, showing off both her bright blue locks and a teal Zac Posen dress.

The blue hair, which is Katy's latest wild accessory, makes TOTAL sense when you read the list of style icons Katy proffered to the magazine: Agyness Deyn, Chloë Sevigny, Daphne Guinness, Natalie Wood, Judy Jetson (!), and Wonder Woman.

Perry also explains why she's clung so hard to her "pinup girl" style -- and how she wants to adapt her signature look:

Like, I'm still doing the pinup thing, but now when I do it, I want to be the pinup of the future, like Rachael in Blade Runner. But I've always been quirky—it probably started when I was nine years old, and my father used to wake me up at seven every Saturday morning to take me to garage sales. I couldn't afford the clothes that the other girls at school were wearing, so instead I looked for things that were unique to me.

Wow... what a meaningful goal. With "role models" like these, can we really blame young women for becoming vapid, self-absorbed pathetic excuses of humans?

What amazes me is that this creature actually makes money off her songs. I am hard pressed to find a single lyrical or musical talent in one of her so-called 'songs'.

Yep. Katy Perry is a global music MEGA-STAR. Deal with it. She probably has about $100 million in net worth and she'll probably have $50 million more by the end of this year. Does this bother you? If so, why?

Do you think dumb NFL players somehow deserve that kind of more because they are so smart or something? How about Wall Street schemers? Do you think THOSE people are not self absorbed, vapid, pathetic excuses for human beings too? Do Wall Street schemers deserve hundreds of millions for ripping people off like they did in 2008?

What bothers me is this: young women who look up to people like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga etc become people like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga: only interested in fame, success and money.

Ms. Perry said herself that she would like to become the pin up girl of the future. What kind of a standard does this set for young, impressionable women?

I am a "poster child" for successful women who are not afraid to state their opinions, for women who are sick of being a product instead of a person, and for women who are sick of being judged by their looks instead of intellect.

SEVEN #1 hits from her first two albums is HARDLY a result of being overhyped. Katy is very talented. Katy's been paying her dues in the music business since she was about 13 years old.

Kim Kardashian is just another "poor little rich girl" from L.A. like Paris Hilton who is "famous for being rich and famous". People like Kim and Paris are "a dime a dozen" ... any old rich bratty woman can do what they do. Since when does being BORN justify someone to be a star in the entertainment business. I guess if "Teen Mom 2" is watched by some people they'll watch Kim Kardashian too.
